These cookies are soft and gooey inside, perfectly golden on the outside, and unbelievably easy to make. This foolproof recipe promises irresistibly delicious cookies every single time, with simple ingredients and no hassle.

Ingredients

- 270g all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 227g softened unsalted butter
- 150g white sugar
- 165g brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 270g chocolate chips
- Flaked sea salt (optional)

Method

Step 1:
Melt butter while stirring continously on a low heat. Your butter will start to brown, forming that toasty browned butter

Step 2:
Allowed your browned butter to cool before adding in your white and brown sugar.

Step 2:
Add in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Step 3:
In separate bowl mix together the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix half the dry ingredients into the wet until everything comes together. The key here is to not over mix. Mix until there are still some bits of flour

Step 4:
Fold in your chocolate chips

Step 5:

Scoop your cookie bowls with a spring release ice cream scooper. Balls should weigh about 60grams

Step 6:
Refrigerate the cookie dough for at least a half hour, or overnight.

Step 6:

Top with extra choc chips

Step 7:
Bake for 11 minutes*, or until the edges are just golden brown and the centers have puffed up but are still gooey
